HEAD START DIRECTOR. CADDO NATION HEAD START PROGRAM.
DUTIES: Include, but not limited to planning, managing and administering the daily operations of the Head Start Program. The director plans, organizes and monitors program operations, functions, activities, services and staff. The Head Start Director is also responsible for the planning, development, management, evaluations and ongoing community relations of the program. Supervises the work of all Caddo Nation Head Start staff and is under the direct supervision of the Tribal Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Must have a minimum of three years of experience as an administrator with an understanding of Child Development theories and practices. Must have expertise in fiscal and program management with at least three years of actual experience. Must have demonstrated skills and abilities in a management capacity relevant to human services program management for a minimum of three years of experience and be knowledgeable in grant writing. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and own transportation to work. Must be mature, reliable, and dependable and willing to work as a team. Indian preference applicable. HELP WANTED COOK. CADDO NATION HEAD START PROGRAM.
DUTIES: The cook has the primary responsibility for the operation of the food service program and performs related work as required. Including the planning of menus to comply with Head Start guidelines with input from the Nutritionist, staff, parents, and consultants. Prepares orders for food, food service projects, and makes necessary purchases as needed. Prepares and serves nutritious meals to children, staff, and volunteers. Able to prepare meals for children with special diets. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen. Maintain records as required by the program. Must follow all health and safety rules and submit reports as required. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Under supervision of the Nutrition Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be a team player with knowledge in food preparation, food service, nutrition requirements and be able to communicate effectively with parents, staff and the community. Must have a driver’s license, have reliable transportation, and be insurable. Must have appropriate health certificate as prescribed by state law or city ordinance.
